OMG!! Okay guys so for those of you who know me personally know that I am easily excited. But I haven't been this excited about a project in a very long time!!!
So my dad just informed me about an exciting project in the works which, if Allah Ta'ala allows to go off without a hitch will be INCREDIBLE!! Masjid-At-Taqwa is building its very own Youth Recreational center/Senior citizens home!!! Can you imagine? Finally a place where young Muslims can hang in good company. The facility insha'allah will be equipped with an olympic size swimming pool, game rooms, weight and gym room, gymnasium, EVERYTHING!!! We're talking basketball tournaments, Islamic sporting events, and so much more ALHAMDULILLAH!!! This will be HUGE, especially for our youth!! And our elders will have an Islamic environment to call home with the Senior Citizens facility catering to their needs. Everything will be one block from Masjid At-Taqwa! HOW COOL IS THIS?? You guys don't understand. We've been talking about this for Years!!! And now, Allah Ta'ala says now. SO OUTSTANDING!!!
Insha'allah The Banquet of all Banquets is going down in November or December (TBA)of this year. Masjid At-Taqwa is having it's 30th anniversary Banquet at the Marriot Hotel (Downtown Brooklyn) All the big wigs will be there insha'allah. International and local guests/speakers/performers. This is an event you guys wont want to miss. My dad said he's selling tickets by the table (10 to a table). Mashallah, although the date is not yet confirmed the tickets are going like crazy. A presentation will be given for the Senior Citizens home/Youth recreational Center. This is a fundraiser event, tickets are $150.00 per person. I know that's steep for some of us but if you understand how beneficial this will be to us all, you will start saving now!! I'll Keep you guys posted here with confirmed dates, speakers, entertainers, and how you can purchase your tickets!!
